Fantasy Matchup Edge

Privacy Policy

How Fantasy Matchup Edge handles personal information, technical data and privacy on the site.

Last updated: 16 October 2026

Who we are

Fantasy Matchup Edge (“FME”, “we”, “us”) is an independent fantasy-football analytics website providing FPL and Sorare projections, tools and editorial content. You can contact us at team@fantasymatchupedge.com.

Information we may collect

The site is deliberately lightweight. We may process:

  • Information you choose to send us, such as your name, email address and message when you contact us.
  • Basic technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, browser/request information and server logs processed by our hosting or infrastructure providers.
  • Privacy-friendly aggregate analytics through GoatCounter, including page views, referrers and broad technical statistics such as browser, operating system, language, country and screen width. GoatCounter does not use cookies or persistent browser identifiers for FME analytics and does not store visitors’ IP addresses in its analytics records.
  • Newsletter information if you choose to subscribe through our Kit form. This includes the email address and any other information you actively enter in the form, together with normal signup and consent information needed to manage the subscription.

How we use information

We use information only where there is a legitimate reason to do so: to respond to messages, operate and secure the website, understand which pages and tools are useful, investigate errors, improve FME, send emails that you have chosen to receive and meet legal obligations. Where consent is required, we ask for it before using the relevant information for that purpose.

Email updates

Our email signup is provided by Kit. If you subscribe, the details you submit are sent to Kit so that we can manage the FME mailing list and send the updates you requested. You can unsubscribe using the link included in our emails. Kit processes subscriber information on our behalf under its own service and data-processing terms.

Analytics

We use GoatCounter for lightweight website analytics. It is designed to provide aggregate traffic information without building persistent user profiles. The FME integration does not intentionally set analytics cookies or use localStorage or similar browser storage for visitor tracking.

See our Cookie Policy for more detail.

Who we may share information with

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers where necessary to run FME — for example hosting and infrastructure providers, GoatCounter for aggregate analytics and Kit for email subscriptions — or where disclosure is required by law. Third-party websites you choose to visit from FME operate under their own privacy policies.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected. Contact emails may be retained while we deal with an enquiry and, where relevant, for a reasonable period afterwards for project, support or business records. Newsletter subscription information is retained while you remain subscribed and as needed to respect unsubscribe or suppression requests. Technical logs and aggregate analytics are retained according to our configuration and provider policies.

International processing

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where that happens, the relevant provider is responsible for applying the legal safeguards required for its processing and transfers.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights including access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, as well as the right to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

To raise a privacy request, email team@fantasymatchupedge.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with how your data has been handled.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when the site’s data practices materially change — for example if we introduce accounts, advertising or additional analytics technology.
